The cases of typhus gravior were infinitely more numerous among the rich and well-fed than among the poor; and with them also the head was most frequently the seat of diseased action.
Typhus gravior is rare--much more so than might be expected.

Gravior the attacks always took place immediately after the patients had wakened in the morning, and this is probably due to the sudden alteration of the cerebral circulation from the sleeping to the wakeful state.
