In the first place every Metazoon commences its existence as a simple cell, in the sense above defined; this cell is known as the ovum.
It must be remembered that a single individual Metazoon is equivalent to a number of Protozoa coalesced to form a single organism in a higher state of aggregation.
This tendency is probably to be regarded as the embryological repetition of that phase in the evolution of the Metazoa, which constituted the transition from the protozoon to the metazoon condition.
Except for this further influence, the metazoon starts with the stock of variations acquired by that particular group of protozoa--whatever it may be--from which it originated.
Following the lines of phylogenetic speculation above indicated, it may be concluded that the two-layered condition of the organism represents in a general way the passage from the protozoon to the metazoon condition.
This view of the passage from the protozoon to the metazoon state, though to my mind improbable in itself, fits in very well with the ontogeny of the lower Hydrozoa.
The above list will hopefully give you a few useful examples demonstrating the appropriate usage of "metazoon" in a variety of sentences. We hope that you will now be able to make sentences using this word.
